Kristin Cavallari reacts to Jay Cutler throwing party after divorce settlement

Jay Cutler isn’t the only one celebrating after reaching a settlement in his divorce from Kristin Cavallari.

“I’ve been partying for two years straight,” the “Laguna Beach” alum, 35, told TMZ in a video published Monday, referencing the estranged couple’s 2020 separation.

Cavallari played coy about what the financial settlement entailed, saying she did not think she was legally allowed to talk about it.

Cutler, on the other hand, had no problem suggesting the divorce is going in his favor, saying on his “Uncut with Jay Cutler” podcast last Wednesday, “When the settlement came through, I threw a party.”

The former Chicago Bears quarterback, 39, added, “I don’t recommend divorce for anybody, let me go ahead and say that. But, it worked out. It worked out for Kristin, it worked out for me. It is what it is.”

Cavallari recently opened up to Page Six about her failed marriage, saying her social life took a hit while she and Cutler were still together.

“Before my divorce, the one area of my life that really suffered was my social life and my friendships, because I was so maxed out with family and work,” the “Very Cavallari” alum said.

She added that their breakup allowed her to “find myself again and have some time to put myself first.”

Cavallari and Cutler married in June 2013 and share three kids: sons Camden, 9, and Jaxon, 8, and daughter Saylor, 6.

The pair announced their divorce in April 2020, saying in a joint statement at the time, “With great sadness after 10 years together, we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made and the children we are so proud of.”

They added, “This is just the situation of two people growing apart.”

It is unclear whether Cavallari and Cutler’s divorce is final, but a source told E! News in late May that they were still hashing out a financial agreement.

Their reps did not immediately respond to our requests for comment.
