Tom Brady reveals he, Gisele Bündchen already finalized ‘painful’ divorce

Tom Brady confirmed that he and Gisele Bündchen have already finalized their “painful” divorce.

“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage,” the NFL player wrote via Instagram Stories Friday, hours after news broke of the duo’s plans to file the paperwork in Florida.

Tom Brady broke his silence on his and Gisele Bündchen’s “painful” divorce.

“We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time spent together,” he continued. “We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”

Brady — who shares Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, with the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, as well as son Jack, 15, with ex Bridget Moynahan — went on to describe their co-parenting plans.

The couple have “amicably” finalized their divorce, Brady wrote via Instagram Stories.

“We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure that they receive the love and attention they deserve,” the athlete explained.

“We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration,” he added of the “painful and difficult” choice.

“We wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written,” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback continued, concluding with a request for “privacy and respect.”

In a post of her own, Bündchen wrote that “the decision to end a marriage is never easy.”

She has hinted at her marital troubles in recent months, telling Elle magazine in September that she asked her husband “over and over” to be “more present” with their family.

“Ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them],” the businesswoman added at the time. “He needs to follow his joy, too.”

Bündchen also addressed their divorce via Instagram Stories.

The bombshell interview was published two weeks after Page Six reported that the couple were in an “epic fight” and headed for a split.

Brady and Bündchen wed in February 2009, celebrating their 13th anniversary with Instagram posts earlier this year.

“I love you more now than I ever could have imagined,” the former New England Patriots player gushed in February. “You are the best mother and wife and supporter in the world and I am blessed to call you my wife.”
