Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up about being a stepmother, admitting that the road to where she is now was “really tough.”

Attending the Visionary Women’s International Women’s Day Summit at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Wednesday, the Goop founder, 51, asked if there were any fellow stepmoms in the audience.

“Yeah, it’s a bitch, right, guys? No, I actually, I really like to talk about this because it’s one of my biggest learnings as a human being,” she said to a cheering audience.

The Oscar-winning actress shares daughter Apple, 19, and 17-year-old son Moses with ex-husband singer Chris Martin, to whom she was married from 2003 to 2016.

Since tying the knot with “Glee” and “American Horror Story” co-creator Brad Falchuk, Paltrow became a stepmother to his two children, Isabella, 19, and Brody, 17.

“The path to here was really rough,” the “Talented Mr. Ripley” actress admitted. “It’s almost like you have to embody the spirit of the sun and just give and not expect anything back.”

“I just learned to try to just keep shining like the sun and never keeping score,” she added.
